Hello from a fellow marketer and Substack newbie. I’d appreciate your advise on the email marketing side of this platform, if that’s ok? I have an established email list in Kartra which is also my CRM system, sales pages, memberships etc. So I need to keep my contacts there. What’s the best way to use Substack’s email functionality? Use it as well as Kartra, and keep it for subscribers here? I’m still trying to figure it out 😅

Hi Kelly, thanks for your comment. Substack is a mix of blog/portal and newsletter.

So you can grow your list here (good thing is you own it and can move it whenever you want), but every post you publish and send to your subscribers is also public on your Substack page. You have an option to put paywall and charge subscription to your newsletter, and keep it private this way.

I recommend following Sparkle on Substack publication for some really great advice on Substack growth.

Wow, this is so great to hear! I worked for some really great brands and once I worked for a bad- that was the worst experience in my life. My gut, entire body was against doing any marketing for them. I quit without backup, with three small kids and a mortage. So when someone says that has to sell bulshit to bring food to the table, I know it's a lie. Thanks Kristina for your support.
