Personal Update: We got our visa after 5.5 years!

Hi,

I hope your week is going well.

I’m still in the clouds because of our big personal update: after 5.5 years of life in limbo, we finally got the visa that secured our stay in Australia.

My family <3

That is so huge news for our family of five, as we went through a lot to get there. If you want to read more about our immigration story, check out these articles:

I I must admit — I have a hate-love relationship with LinkedIn. I’ve never found a real network there and never went deeper than shallow conversation. I like to push my limits so Last month I took a 30-day LinkedIn challenge.

One Great Copywriting Rule: Honesty

I’ve been talking A LOT that marketing is not omnipotent. It gets good just if the product is good (yes, they are some exceptions, but they’re just proof of the rule).

If you are a small brand, there are simple steps:

Share a good story.

Avoid big words- write like you talk.

Sell benefits.

Do not lie.

Do not overcomplicate.

Sometimes, blunt honesty is the best way to approach your story, as with this Gringo Bandito hot sauce.

Email marketing

I read A LOT of newsletters. I love to see what fellow creators do. Get some great ideas. Look into the opportunities to collaborate. And also to share some brilliant things I discovered.

This week, I want to shout out Jason Resnik, the author of Evergreen newsletter, who asked:

"When following up with those who don't buy, when do you ask for a reply versus send them to a form?”

His suggestion is:

“Instead using Chat GPT to craft the long survey, encourage people to simply reply to email. Then, collect all responses and ask Chat GPT to organise and analyse them”.

Brilliant!
