Reignite Your Creative Spark: A Step-by-Step Guide for Content Creators
Stop wasting time and write like a boss
In the ever-changing landscape of writing…
I’m kidding; I’m kidding!
Don’t do that. Don’t let boring AI powered writing servant to be your creative boss.
You’re writing, boss; you just need to find that in your soul. You have it.
“But, Angelina, to be successful in creating content, you need to write every day! How to do that?”
I’m in love with writing. I have been doing it since I first took a pen as a 5-year-old. While other kids played with dolls, I played with words. I’ve been living from writing since 2000. BUT:
Let’s be honest: writing can be a drag.
You stare at the blank page, willing words to appear, but nothing happens. Inspiration is MIA, and deadlines loom.
Sound familiar?
Been there, done that.
But here’s the thing: you can ditch the struggle and become a writing machine.
Forget the cheesy “write an article in 10 minutes” hacks (are these guys annoying you as well?)
Focus on building a sustainable system that gets you writing consistently and cranking out quality content. This piece od advice works the best whether you’re a solopreneur, small business owner or a creator.
Here’s my battle-tested process for writing faster (without sacrificing quality) and creating crave-worthy content.
1. Pick a topic that makes you want to rant
Gone are the days of writing about generic stuff nobody cares about. Don’t write about things everyone can Google in a minute or ask Chat GPT (and get a decent answer).
Focus on your area of expertise or passion, something you can talk to your mates over beer for hours. Readers will be sucked into your story.
For me, it’s content marketing.
Writing.
And my kids.
And my immigration story.
And optimising productivity (don’t miss my honest rant about ice bath and endless productivity steps)
2. Talk about their pain points
Remember, once and for all:
People don’t care about you or your product.
They don't give a shit how quality it is, how beautifully crafted or carefully manufactured.
All they care about is solving their problems and fulfilling their needs.
So, dig deep and uncover your ideal reader's specific pain points. The more specific you are, the better your content will resonate.
3. Craft a Headline That Hooks Like a Siren
Let’s face it: most people skim content. That’s why your headline is your golden ticket to clicks.
Here’s a secret formula to craft headlines that make your audience say, “Whoa, hold on a sec, I gotta read this!”
People skim, not read. That’s why your headline is crucial. It’s the bait that gets them to click.
Here’s a simple formula to craft killer headlines every time:
Powerful Hook = Benefit + Target Audience + Specific Outcome
Examples:
“Tired Parents: Feel Refreshed and Energized in Just 30 Minutes”
“Remote Workers: Double Your Productivity with These Time-Saving Tips”
You’ll notice my headline follows the same formula:

This guide is a good start if you want to get better at headlines.
4. Outline Like a Boss
Before you dive into writing, sketch out a basic outline. This is your roadmap to a killer piece of content. There are many outline templates around, and they can all save you time and nerves.
I like to use this one:
Write down key points.
Explain your points. This is what makes your writing unique.
Explain WHY — give your point of view and your results.
Now, you have a skeleton of your future article or post.
Hook
Promise + establishing authority
Key points.
Explain your points.
Explain WHY
Summarise
Add the strongest point + CTA
You can use the help of AI here — you can let your AI assistant outline and organise your ideas. Take a look at some helpful writing prompts.
This isn’t about flowery prose; it’s about organising your ideas.
5. Develop Your Ideas (and Ditch the AI!)
This is where your unique voice comes in.
Build on that AI skeleton. Inject your insights, experiences, and results. Don’t be tempted by easy, shit-looking AI-generated content.
It might save you time, but it will suck the soul out of your writing.
You will sound exactly like the first sentence of this article (you don’t remember it? No wonder, mate!).
6. Wrap it Up with a Bang (and a Call to Action)
Don’t just leave your readers hanging.
People are clueless about what to do next, unless you tell them.
Please give them a clear next step, whether subscribing to your list, downloading a free guide, or checking out your latest email marketing offer.
Remember, building a writing system takes time.
Mine took 12 years of journalist experience and a few as a marketer.
