Hi friend!

I’m still learning to find a fine line between launching and pushing your offer and being too salesy.

I hate hard sale and don’t want to become “one of these people” we all despise and silently move from our inbox and life 🫣

But, simultaneously, I’m so excited as my e-book “Content Strategy Blueprint is my first low-cost offer. I crafted it with much heart for solopreneurs overwhelmed with marketing as a simple guide on starting in 7 days.

p.s. If you’re a paid subscriber, you’ll get a book for free, with the full book PDF and workbook at the end of this series. Today, I‘m sharing the intro and first chapter.

p.s. please let me know what do you think - I’m so eager to hear it from my community.

Content Strategy Blueprint

Prologue

Why This E-book?

If you’re just starting out and don’t yet know how to market effectively or create a strong marketing strategy, you have three options:

  1. Find a co-founder who’s skilled in marketing.

  2. Hire someone to manage your marketing.

  3. Learn it yourself.

Whichever option you choose, you’ll still need to understand marketing basics.

Here’s why:

Why You Need Marketing Basics

  • To better understand your business: Marketing and sales go hand-in-hand. You need to know how and why customers go from visiting your website to purchasing your product or service and, ideally, becoming loyal customers.

  • To keep your agency or freelancer accountable: From my experience working in marketing agencies, I can tell you that if you hire an external agency without knowing the basics, they can easily oversell their success. Understanding marketing helps you keep them honest.

  • To decide what to outsource and what to handle yourself: Outsourcing all your marketing—especially before reaching $5 to $10 million in annual revenue—can be costly and less effective for a small business. After all, no one knows your vision, purpose, or target customer better than you do.

If you’re trying to figure out how to start with content marketing or if you’ve already started but aren’t seeing the results you want, you’re in the right place. Imagine having a steady flow of qualified leads, all thanks to organic content marketing. No need for fancy marketing degrees and no huge budget—just a simple, step-by-step approach that gets you actual results.

That’s exactly what this e-book offers.

I’ve been where you are—overwhelmed and unsure of where to start. It took me years to sort through overcomplicated advice from “experts.” I worked hard to simplify everything, understand the bigger picture, and break down the marketing process into small, actionable steps.

Now, I’m sharing that experience with you.

Forget the hype and expensive “gurus” promising overnight success. This guide provides a battle-tested blueprint you can implement in less than a week. Even with limited resources, you can do it—as long as you start applying what you learn right away.

What This E-book Includes

This e-book has two parts:

  1. This guide that you’re reading now

  2. An interactive workbook for you to complete

Results don’t come from reading alone; they come from doing. I’ll be your accountability partner on this journey—feel free to contact me at angelina@marketingfairy.com.au or any social media platform.

Intro

Ever feel like you’re wrestling a marketing octopus, with each tentacle more confusing than the last? You pour your heart into creating content, but the leads just aren’t showing up.

I’ve been there—confused and unsure of the next step. I started learning about marketing out of necessity, trying to grow my parenting blog (I’ve been around since the early blogging days—remember dial-up internet in 2008?). Back then:

  • I had no marketing budget.

  • I didn’t have a team; it was just me.

  • I was overwhelmed by confusing advice from “marketing gurus” with overly complicated strategies.

  • I wasted time listening to people promising “quick results.”

At some point, I knew I had to get serious, reinvent myself, and learn from my marketing missteps.

Here’s the truth: anyone who claims you can build your business fast and with little effort isn’t telling you the whole story.

  • You don’t lack speed; you lack clarity about your business, message, and audience.

  • You don’t need a huge budget or endless steps to build a strong foundation.

  • Shortcuts won’t work—unless you have a big budget to burn (and even then, instant results aren’t guaranteed).

I’m not here to promise six figures in six weeks. I’m here to help you build solid marketing foundations for your business. I’ll teach you a simple, strategic content marketing framework I developed over 15 years of learning, mistakes, and progress.

I’ll guide you step-by-step to avoid procrastination, confusion, and overwhelm, helping you finally tackle marketing simply and effectively.

You don’t need to know everything about marketing. You need seven days of focused effort to create a basic system to help you leverage content marketing and scale your business over time with the right tools and processes.

Here’s what’s waiting for you inside:

  • A day-by-day action plan to build your content marketing strategy so you can stop feeling confused and start making progress right away (because who has time for frustration?).

  • Practical, actionable steps to help you create content consistently without burning out (think quality over quantity and sanity over stress).

  • A workbook and clear instructions for creating a content marketing system that works for you and your business.

Welcome aboard!

Angelina, your content marketing Fairy.

Day 1: Understanding the Foundations of Content Marketing - Find your WHY

Are you starting your marketing from scratch? Don’t worry, we’ve all been there.

It took me three years of blogging before I got my first paid client. So, I want to share my blueprint with you so you don’t have to wait and figure it out yourself.

Here is the truth: Marketing IS overwhelming and challenging to start, especially if you are a solopreneur or have a small business without a marketing budget.

My marketing journey includes my personal blog business, working in a marketing agency, working with big pharma, marketing my own cleaning business and doing full-stack marketing in a B2B environment. Do you know what all these experiences have in common?

Great content marketing begins with a powerful WHY.

Think of your WHY as your business’s compass. It’s not just about where you’re going; it’s about why you’re on this journey.

What drives you to serve your customers? Why are you passionate about your industry?

“People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it. And what you do simply proves what you believe”.-Simon Sinek.

Recommended reading: “Why” By Simon Sinek.

It’s not just about the product; it’s the purpose behind it. Let’s dig deep and uncover your unique WHY! (Forget the boring business plans, we’re getting personal!)

Here’s my story: My soul is split apart between Australia and Serbia, over 13,000 kilometres! I want to create a life where I can travel often to both countries while I work.

That’s part of my WHY.

  • Imagine being location-independent, working on your own terms, and spending more quality time with my family.

That’s a big part of my WHY! (Plus, my kids are teenagers, and trust me, quality time is precious!)

  • My other big WHY

I help amazing solopreneurs and small businesses like yours create the lives they deserve. Content marketing can be a game-changer, and I want to be your guide on that journey.

In fact, I spent 12 years advocating for parents—I know all about making a positive impact!

Finding your WHY isn’t just about warm fuzzies – it helps you understand how to serve your customers best.

We all create businesses for profit, but that doesn’t mean our WHY is just “make money.” We all have deep reasons behind our actions. Every one of us has something unique, a purpose or a big goal behind our business.

Discovering your WHY will help you realise how to serve your customers best. Remember, you are not in the business of selling products and services; you are in the business of helping people solve their real-life problems (or desires).

We all have deep reasons behind our actions. Every one of us has something unique, a purpose or a big goal behind our business.

What to do next: One-page plan.

Now, let’s turn your WHY into action.
